Pilates is a fitness based wellness system created in the early 20th century by German born Joseph Pilates. Pilates focuses mainly on strengthening the core abdominal muscles, hips, buttocks and thighs collectively called the "Powerhouse". We also combine breath, control of movement, precision and awareness to cultivate strength both physically and mentally. Through these actions, we correct our posture, strengthen muscles from deep within and bring radiance and vitality. Aerial/CircusArts and Yoga classes for kids/youth from ages 5yrs up! Advanced students are to learn proper technique for intermediate & advanced body positions, flexibility, conditioning exercises take off and landing drills, and spatial awareness. Students are to learn proper technique for advanced tumbling skills such as: Standing Back handspring Series/Combination. Standing back tucks, round off back handspring tucks, layouts, & twisting skills, front handsprings and aerial variations in a non-competitive and supportive fun environment!
Aerial silks, also known as aerial fabrics, aerial tissue, or aerial ribbons, is one of the newest and most challenging, yet most awe inspiring and versatile aerial art forms. It is an exciting time for this new aerial style, because it is gaining popularity and continues to explode with new developments. Aerial training used to be limited to Olympic level gymnasts and circus performers, but now it is being offered to the public recreationally as a fitness program and we also offer a performance track way for those that would like a chance to perform-- it's a great way stay fit while being creative!
