What to Bring/Expect

What should I wear/bring?

Wear workout clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in. Take off your shoes. Shoes and socks are not worn during class. You may find form fitting clothing is best as it stays out of your way as you move through poses. Limit use of perfume just before class. “The Edge-Your Fitness Advantage” provides all of the materials you will need to participate in class at no cost. We do not offer showers however we do provide hand towels and there is a restroom located by the cafe to help you freshen up before heading home, back to school, or the office!

Do I need to bring my own mat/towel/water?

Our studio provides mats for your use during class. Hand towels are provided. We provide hot/ cold filtered water through a water dispenser in our lobby. Feel free to bring your own container and fill it up! Any liquids brought into class must be in an enclosed container.

Is there a place where I can change and store my things during class?

The Edge-Your Fitness Advantage has a changing room as well as cubby space for your clothing and personal items during class. There are also spacious restrooms located right outside our studio for use.

Do you have showers?

We do not currently offer showers.

Do you sell any products?

The Edge-Your Fitness Advantage does have a small boutique which offers various products including men’s, women’s, and children’s logo tees. Is it OK to eat before class?

It's good to drink plenty of water before and after class but try to come to class with an empty (or nearly empty) stomach.

Is someone there at the studio all day?

No. We are not there throughout the day. The doors are open 15 minutes before each class. Get there early so that you don't feel rushed. Most classes are 60-75 minutes long. BBA classes are 45 minutes long.

What classes are for me?

Your best bet is to schedule a consultation to go over what it is you are wanting to achieve and take it from there. We have four modalities to choose from—Aerial Arts, BarreBody, Pilates, and Yoga. You don’t have to stick with just one—we find a lot of benefit from cross-training among the four disciplines to be very effective for functional fitness!

What happens if the weather is bad?

We follow Cape County School System: If they are closed due to inclement weather, we generally will be also. You can check to see if we have cancelled class because of the weather by visiting our website and clicking on the class schedule to see if a class has been canceled.

How do I use the online system?

MindBody Online is our online studio management system. You can login to the system directly from our website to purchase Drop-In session cards and see an up to the minute class schedule with substitutions or cancellations, see a history of your attendance, and more. Do you have an app?

Yes! we use MindBody Connect as our studio App. Download the app and input your username and password and you’re on!

What's the best way to contact the someone at the studio?

The best way to contact us is to send an email through our Contact Us page. The second best way is to leave a message at (573) 388-3838. The email is checked many times throughout the day and the voice mail is checked once a day.

I already have a health club membership - are you affiliated with any of them or have reciprocity of any kind?

Unfortunately, we do not. We offer classes that no other facility in the Cape County area offers and find that results are better and more consistent when you stick with your personalized protocol from our experienced and highly trained staff.
